2011 Bluegrass Competition Information
BLUEGRASS BANJO CHAMPIONSHIP - Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, 1:00 –4:00 p.m. NO Entry fee. Contestants will be prepared to play two instrumental numbers. In the case of a tie, a play-off will be done with contestants playing one additional tune each which shall be different than either tunes played in first round. Maximum playing time of six (6) minutes except Fiddle.
BLUEGRASS FIDDLE CHAMPIONSHIP - Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, 1:00 –4:00 p.m. NO Entry fee. Contestants will be prepared to play two instrumental numbers. In the case of a tie, a play-off will be done with contestants playing one additional tune each which shall be different than either tunes played in first round. Maximum playing time of eight (8) minutes
BLUEGRASS FLATPICKING CHAMPIONSHIP – Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, 1:00 –4:00 p.m. NO Entry fee. Contestants will be prepared to play two instrumental numbers. In the case of a tie, a play-off will be done with contestants playing one additional tune each which shall be different than either tunes played in first round. Maximum playing time of six (6) minutes.
